The amount of Green House Gas (GHG) emissions that are produced and released in the atmosphere from Canada, the United States (U.S), and many other countries, is a big issue for the planet’s health since it causes climate change. Climate change has various damaging effects on the earth. It can cause severe weather such as floods, droughts, etc. Some political parties agree that a carbon pricing policy should be implemented, like the Green party, New Democratic Party (NDP), and the Liberals, while other parties think that it isn’t worth implementing, like the Conservatives. Implementing a carbon policy will take a lot of time, effort, and money, and might unfairly target those who are at a disadvantage, like low income people or those living in remote areas, making them pay more taxes. But to avoid the harmful effects of climate change, Canada needs to implement a carbon pricing policy—a method that has made a significant change in many countries that decided to tax or cap carbon emissions. In their platform, the Green Party states, â€Å"We will place a fee on carbon, and pay the funds it generates directly to every Canadian over age 18 in the form of an annual carbon dividend.† They have set out The Carbon Fee and Dividend Plan, which puts a price on carbon that will make polluters pay for whatever emissions they emit. When it comes to the African American Civil Rights Movement there are many people that are seen as heroes. Some, like Malcolm X tend to be seen in a more negative light and it is often debated whether or not he was a good addition to the civil rights movement. In 1952 when Malcolm’s recognition rose he became one of the most influential speakers for black americans. His recognition came with controversy and he is often seen responsible for the violence before and after his death. Malcolm was very outspoken and his calls for self defense against white violence intimidated many. In the eyes of many white americans he was seen as a threat, a dangerous radical. John studies how language has evolved and will evolve with social, historical and technological developments, in addition to studying and writing about race in America. He argues that we always hear testing is a negative decline or fall in serious literature or writing ability. That testing ruins someones ability to write or speak in a grammatically correct way. When In it really doesnt, language is speech. Speech is much looser, its much more telegraphic.Very different from writing, we tend to see language being written often. That we think thats what language is. He then proves his point by saying testing is very loose In its structure. No one thinks about capital letters or punctuation when they text. Same goes for speaking, no one thinks about capitalizing letters during a speech. Although Testing has the mechanics of writing, Testing Is basically fingered speech.
